Meet the Rev. Abigail Ozanne
Abigail Ozanne grew up in Falcon Heights, Minnesota next to the University of Minnesota agricultural fields and the MN State Fair. She is the third of four children and the only girl. Her vocation is to be a teacher, and she has been able to do this throughout her working career in a variety of ways, including teaching 4th grade, teaching middle school math and science, serving as the program director at a church camp, and teaching the youth (and some adults!) as the director of youth and families at a church. She looks forward to bringing this to her pastoral ministry.
As the daughter of a United Methodist pastor/church history professor, Abigail was raised in the United Methodist Church and is currently working toward full ordination in the UMC.
She is passionate about learning and teaching about the Bible and begins her sermon preparation with an in-depth study of the scriptures.
As the daughter of a computer programmer, she is comfortable with computers and plans to use her skills in her ministry. In her free time, Abigail enjoys a variety of activities and hobbies. She enjoys fencing – yes the sport with the swords – hiking, and canoeing. Her hobbies include knitting, reading, and birding.
Abigail lives alone but is close to her nuclear family, especially her brother Jeff and his wife Marianne, both UMC pastors, and their two small children, Bryce and Zoe. Currently, she is enjoying getting to know her first pet, a little yellow budgie (parakeet) named Lemon Drop, that she got this fall.
